Re: E-Cigarette

Wow, that video makes me want to try one. Those were some effortlessly big clouds... I hate the nic buzz tho. Gives me the spin....

And yeah, inside the bar isn't a good idea, obviously, I meant outside. But have you seen anyone using these before? anyone for that matter...

Re: E-Cigarette

I have learned a bitch of information about this that is not good for us. I have read that people dont make hash out of everclear because the everclear still has some sugars in it that will carmalize when being combusted. I couldnt tell you if the sugars will still carmalize in the atomizer, but i unfortunatly wouldnt be surprised.

Alright, CD! Can't wait to hear your thoughts, I know a lot of people who would be interested. thumb

@ Survivalism, I don't fully understand the process of caramelization, but I think heat is usually required. Afaik the atomizers aren't using heat. Kind of the same idea as those AWOL alcohol vaporizers.

Re: E-Cigarette

Oh shit i just assumed the atomizer would be producing heat, if it doesnt then once again by theory this should work lol.

Re: E-Cigarette

I don't really understand what the E-cig is supposed to do to be honest... Is it just supposed to simulate the action of smoking, or does it actually give you a nicotine buzz? If so, does it give the same nic buzz as a real cigarette?

Re: E-Cigarette

When you smoke a cigarette you are combusting tobacco so you can inhale the nicotine in the smoke, the idea behind the E-Cigarettes is to use a vaporizer ( atomiser ) to vaporize a solution of liquid nicotine, thus allowing you to inhale vapor infused with nicotine. Yes it basically a cigarette.

We are hoping that we can replace the nicotine solution with a THC solution.

An E-Cig consist of three parts: atomizer, battery and cartridge.

The atomizer vaporizers your solution.

The battery powers your atomizer.

The cartridge holds your solution.

E-cig's provide the user the ability to maintain their nicotine intake without the harmful effects of smoking.  As you may or may not know, nicotine is not a natural additive of tobacco.  These solution may or may not have any nicotine depending on your preference.  Some people prefer the taste of cola or strawberries when taking their nicotine and that is the alternative an E-Cig provides.

Re: E-Cigarette

Anyone thinking about buying an e-cig for gods sake dont buy one of those peices of shit. Ive spent months learning about these things so if anyone is serious about buying one let me know and ill show you where to get a good model at a good price with great customer service.

Their are "brand" USB passthroughs on most of the common e-cigs as well as it is very simple to make.

Re: E-Cigarette

CD, did you ever get your e-cig and try out the proposed method?  I have been planning to buy a Genie or a Star and this sounds like a more stealth option if it works.

Re: E-Cigarette

I dont beleive he ever tried this method, but i have refined how i am going to try this eventually. The E-cig atomisers produce heat so using green dragon will allow the sugars in the everclear to carmalize, this isnt quite healthy. I plan to make a vegetable glycerine tincture with some green and then put that in the e-cig. Im not sure if the tincture will be potent enough as an e-smoker that vapes all day instead of using cigarettes only goes through about 2 ml of liquid.

Huh, no idea the brand-name ones could be used via USB. Neat. Sorry to recommend a shitty Chinese substitute, fwiw I posted it more for the entertainment value than actually suggesting someone buy it. biggrin

Re: E-Cigarette

ahh! I must know if this works.
Does the everclear carmelize?
Does the vg tincture work?
What if you used grain alchohol or moonshine instead of everclear, would that 'purity' help?
I just love the idea of mixing tinct. and vg rather than having to make an individual tincture with VG that I didn't have any use for otherwise.
I am a hair's width away from getting a dse901b if those are still considered the bees' knees. That was in 08' though... so I dunno it depends if I get that one if I get one.

what the current thought?

Re: E-Cigarette

I just received my rn4075 ( pretty much a dse901b ) and am using it instead of my cigarettes, its fucking amazing.

On to using it with weed, as far as i know all alcohol has sugar in it, thus using it for an e-cig that uses heat is not healthy at all. I am broke as a mofo right now and i dont have the money to make the glycerine tincture but im definatly going to try it one day.

If you make a glycerine tincture then you can use that tincture however you want.. you could just eat it and get high if you so desired.

Re: E-Cigarette

So tincture with VG it is. do I need to heat the tinct? I plan on using hash not bud, as I have some very high quality honey oil. I am fairly sure during the purge process this oil was heated on a hot plate and is likely already decarboxlyated... or whatever that word is - if it is needed.

Either way, oil + vg + e cig? Simple as that? The lack of usable testimony disturbs me, perhaps it is just no one has done it or the people that have havn't posted or had success. Hopefully they just didn't do it properly. Perhaps it is also in part due to the e cig community's relluctance to be of help for the most part.
Need to find a good retailer where I can get all my goodies in one place and I'm going to bite the bullet. I got a fat tax rebate so I don't mind trying something fun.

Re: E-Cigarette

Is there really that much sugar in alcohol? Alcohol is a derivative of sugar, yes, but I can't imagine that the 95%+ solutions out there contain enough sugar to cause any kind of varnishing or harm?

Re: E-Cigarette

I know physical harm is one of the things in question with the alcohol based ideas, but so is any ammount of impurities clogging the atomizer.

Re: E-Cigarette

its officially on. I have two e cigs on the way. one from ruyan direct and one from altsmoke. both dse901's.
I also have 100% pure food grade vegetable glycerine. I also have 2g hash oil I am willing to play with.
I have been reading about the best way to go about making tinctures, what is the consensus on the need for a straining procedure after I heat and blend the vg and bho? the last thing I want to do is clog my atomizer first go and be shit out of luck.
