Sorry for the late response and thanks for the help. Does anyone have a picture of a Volcano Digit with the dome removed or a link to a post that shows one taken apart? The clunking inside is driving me mad and I'm thinking about just sending it in for service to have it looked over. My wife threw away my box with the huge Volcano sticker so I need to contact Storz anyway to see if I can get a replacement.

Has anyone has their volcano anodized or powder coated for aesthetics?

I've thought about doing something like that. I really want to work with someone and create a nice quality vinyl sticker that looks like dripping lava and have it wrapped around the whole volcano. I'm worried that when removed residue lines will be visible so I'm on the fence about it.

I'm telling you, strip the outer housing off and get that sucker dipped. Check out these dip patterns....very lava like, some of them, yeah?

I wouldn't worry about residue lines at all if the wrap was actually high quality. People wrap their cars and boats and all kinds of things.

As most now know, Photobucket has broken links to forums, and has now begun to charge 399 a year to "link" hosted photos to forums etc.
I am not short on ideas about what services to use moving on, and am not here to open a discussion about services to use, as I believe all free services will start charging in short order.
I am here to give any of those that wish to see all images I have posted in this thread the link to see them.
You are welcome to look at them all, and I hope they are useful.

I have the Volcano Digit since about 1.5 years and noticed since about a year I need to start at 430F and end at 446F (max) to get any vapor.

I initially thought it was due to loading it with smaller amounts, but even if I load more I get barely any vapor at 420 and need to start at 430. I remember I used to start at 390 and end at 420-430. I then thought it was just the strain, but how likely is it that for an entire year over different types I always have to start at 430?

It's like 430 is now really only heating to 390, is this possible?

Has anyone else noticed having to use higher temps on their Volcano Digit over time? At least it hasn't gotten worst, but I'm now limited to going only 16 degrees above the temp where I start getting vapor, I'm wondering if I'm able to get it hot enough to get everything out. I used to go 30-40 degrees above the start temp before, now I can't.

Update: I just decided to do a large load, the solid valve filled almost to the top without compacting, and start at 390 to see. I did get vapor but too faint, going up to 400 made a nice dense vapor, so maybe it is simply the fact I've been doing smaller loads which I always found start better at higher temps.

1st idea that comes to mind is the valve.
Try cleaning the valve parts well.
The solid valve needs to stay very clean to function well.

You're right, it's been a while since my last full valve cleaning and it is definitively due for a cleaning.

I also need to learn to replace the bags sooner, I tend to wait for them to stick and leak like a sieve stupidly thinking I'm saving money by making the bag last longer, but I'm probably losing 100 times my savings in leaking vapor lol.

I use it at 230C for ABV and about 200C for most other times, if I'm being medical I hit at 157C lol!! Sorry about the Centigrade as opposed to Fahrenheit, but its a Euro thing, forced on us in the UK, by EU! Lol...

Moving on; Whilst out on the road, I overheard a conversation, where one chap (Jamaican, I think) was saying to his friend, that; "the Volcano is to vaping, what the STONELOVE Sound-system is to dancehall Music!
"a wah dat, (What's that), the friend asked, (I kinda love that patios chat)
"IMMORTAL!", the first chap said!
I kinda chuckled as I passed by quietly, but on reflection, I gotta say yeah, the geezer was spot on, The Volcano really is IMMORTAL, yeah there's vapes out there, some arguably better - coming with the latest bling and all that, and I readily confess that I do use my EVO probably as much, if not more, but when all is done,

I have to concur, The Volcano just reigns supreme, I suppose it's in the same league as the Toyota Invincible - simply UNSTOPPABLE!

Hail to the titan!!!

Just saying:leaf:

My button broke down.. The fan button it is.
I know it is very easy to replace myself and I would like to avoid spending money on sending it in & paying Storz&bickel.

I know the part is available in US but I cannot find it in EU. Does somebody know if it is the same part? And where one could buy it? The model is a classic

Highly appreciated!

Hi guys, I'm trying to have my girlfriend fuck combustion too but she seems to be unable to inhale vapor without having a coughing fit. Water filtration seems to make things better but not enough for her to be comfortable with regular vape use plus she doesn't like hitting bongs/bubblers.
As a last measure I'm thinking about buying a Volcano as it seems to be one of the most lung forgiving device around. I'm not a fan of bag vaping but I know this machine rocks, I've used it plenty of times in the NL and it never disappointed me.
I may be able to get one for a week or so from a friend to have her try it before buying one, in the meantime do any of you have a similar experience with someone very sensitive to vapor and prone to coughing?
How much can the vapor stay to cool down in the bag before starting to condense on the bag walls and/or tasting bad?
Thanks.

keywords should be green round rocker switch 230V - any good sorted electronic parts store should have it

In less than 10min the vapor is condensed, the taste is not bad but it miss.

The expectoran power of the cannabis is real with the volcano too ;)

Water filtration and small puff maybe ...

Microdosing
Just wondering if .25 gram of bud shredded in coffee grinder be enough to cover the whole screen of a solid valve chamber and how many turkey bags will I be able to product?

I'm a total newbie to microdosing...

Hi guys, I'm a solid valve owner of nearly three years, use it every day with no issues.

I've noticed that at higher temps the volcano is able to sort out panic attacks much better then anything else (pills). The issue is that it can irritate the lungs so I'm looking at a way of cooling.

I like the idea of staying with the bag cause of that wonderful resin collection that makes rock fuel.

I'm looking for something that's small and easy to store - no glass or devices more expensive then the volcano - I'd rather spend the money on the media rather then the hardware TBH. I've seen the RockZap bubbler and that's kind of what I'm after, just can't seem to find it in the UK. Any suggestions?

Volcano is the electric chalice IMO

Hi. I use my female 14mm with my easy valve bags with no problem whatsoever. I also recommend putting some dry cannabis on the bottom, then putting the oil PAD on top and turning it to 446/top temp. Amazing effect.

Best way to efficiently use the Volcano!
Just spread your herb in a thin layer over the screen, center the oil pad and screw together.
Bags are wicked.

I got asked to try out some MP's for the solid valve, 'mushrooms' was the remit.

The first one turned in Brazilian Tulipwood ended up a bit phallic but it was only ever a trial run.
The 2nd and 3rd are Conway Stewart Classic Green Italian Acrylic.

All 3 have SS condensers in them.

They'll get sent out next week and I'm looking forward to a bit of feedback.
