I was wondering about using the solo's stock potpourri dish with essential oils after vaping to mask the smell. Any body has a recommendation for a particular oil that is best for masking the smell and at what temperature?

I used to use Lavender in the EQ potpourri dish. It did a decent job of masking the smell with the fan on.

Any oil would mask the smell wal-mart sell oil as low as .97-$5.00.

Every time I do a sesh I light my oil warmer that I also got from wal-mart for 5 bucks.

What smell:D?!?
For yoshy: obviously

When I vape in my room it always end up smelling like bud if it fresh.

OK PVHES!

I have never tried one.
The Straight Turbo?

No need for the Turbo - even tho I never tried it... I love the 4 holes... :)

Please explain to me the "pull up the straw for a better airflow tecnique", thanks!

Just raise the stem a tiny bit from the heating chamber... you will suddenly have more air coming.

Doesn't seem to be a major flaw, but I opened up my Solo to find this unpleasant surprise! :bang:

Mine came with a crack as well however it works really well nonetheless, in fact better than all of my other portables. Recently I bought 2 new Solos (to gift) and when I did the initial burn-offs on each unit noticed neither of them had a crack there. The 3 are numbered M1A4...

My M102 developed a crack about a year ago and it's stayed very small and hasn't affected the performance at all. I've just paid it no mind since noticing.

It may have been Stu that originally outlined how to use the potpourri dish;
Step 1- remove dish from packaging
Step 2 _ grasp firmly and throw into nearest trash can
Step 3 - vape!

I have never heard of much success with that thing...

Sounds like something I'd probably say. Guilty as charged.

I just saw this post in the Classifieds thread that mentioned a German source for GonG stems. I don't recall seeing this before, so I'll post the link here: http://verdampftnochmal.de/products...r-extreme-parts/arizer-solo-gong-adapter.html

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
The potpourri dish does work. I was ready to toss it as well but then figured I would try oil instead of flowers and it works. There are two issues, first it only does a very small area since it doesn't get hot enough, and second you have to remember to turn the heat back on. Spearmint and peppermint smell nice to mask. Of course you would do better with an oil ring on a light bulb or any other thing for this purpose. I would only use the dish as a last resort.

They indeed do appear to all have carbs. Of course I'd rather have a GonG stem with a carb rather than nothing at all. At least there is another option for aftermarket stems besides planetvape now.

You may be right, but aren't they supposed to burn the fingers? Perhaps the hole could be plugged with a stopper or cork.

I've got one coming (all PV has....). I too figure it's pretty easy to seal up one little hole....I hope. If not a small cork (I like the thinking there...) I was thinking maybe a few winds of teflon plumbing tape with some wire wrapped over it to hold it in place?

I also considered slitting a short piece of high temperature silicone tube and lashing it in place. Maybe something festive? Leather lacing with a couple of beads?

I figure about a week from now this will be a much more important problem to solve, but I sure don't expect it to be impossible.

I just fart in the room when done! :puke:

All jokes aside thats one of the many things I love about vapor - it leaves very little odor and if it does most non-users will think someone burnt popcorn. I've had some serious dank that left a trace but IMO that shit dissipates quickly, if not I would break some some incense cones.
