The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I did this too and my second showed up 2 weeks before my Tempest last November. I have not touched either Revolve mk2 since the tempest first hit my lips. I was actually annoyed I bought the second Revolve because I may never use it and just want another Tempest (or two!). As others have said...

    OLD MATE (formerly Medgrind)

Both of mine are titanium and I think the lighter weight is what allowed me to launch it with an attempted really fast spin. That was with the magnet!

For real! I got too happy spinning it once and spun the top right off. Pure reaction had me reach and miraculously grab it mid air with the teeth pointing out 😬 I am much more restrained in my fidgety joy now

Customs doesn't process those on the weekend so it'll probably sit there for a couple of business days before moving on. Soon for you!

Oh man, that sucks! Hopefully you can get sorted soon. Very thankful you were able to finish mine, however!

WOW you weren't kidding! This is hilarious to me because I never would have realized that. Looked good before but AWESOME now! Before & after pics below:

My two Aroma-3s finally showed up today (woooo)! Ice blue anodized titanium is mine with the vintage AFC logo while the SS with the LFC logo is a late Christmas gift for my buddy. I have two Ti versions now and just waiting on the large version. Very noticeable difference in weight and...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

It's because I usually disassemble it when it's still warm to hot from my final bowl before putting it in an iso soak every few days. Pulling the bowl piece from the stem takes a significant amount of effort if you use something like saliva or water that will evaporate long before time to...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I rushed to share without getting some pics which sucks, but the space where I have the arrow drawn is where the fin was lower on once side from the bowl being bent. The two o rings on the bowl section just above the arrow inside the stem in that picture are what I was referring to lubricating...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I don't have pics because I panicked and went to work to fix it as soon as I realized, but I just wanted to say be careful connecting the bowl to the stem so you don't bend the connecting neck of the bowl! I've noticed sometimes the tempest cap would look uneven of I was spinning the Tempest...

    Huni Badger Pro

https://www.hunibadger.com/New-Huni-Badger-Pro/Huni-Badger-Pro-Portable-Device-Black Webpages added, $250 price point which is less than I expected but still not cheap. Having used the original HB it is a solid (read: heavy) unit with a metal body so it feels quite durable and may help to...

Stainless can't be color anodized so the only ones this would work for are titanium

Vacuum sealing mason jars to extend life

Good points... though everything boiling off assumes the vacuum space is a large enough volume to allow that much to boil away before full equilibrium, right? This is by no means an area of expertise and why I started the thread, but my initial understanding is the above. I'm storing in packed...

Vacuum sealing mason jars to extend life

I put it in an earlier message but only the moisture at the outermost layer will be affected. It will boil away until there is an equilibrium which isn't much but will cause the outside to feel dry. I was also under the impression equilibrium takes seconds vs days but I'm not exactly an expert...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

When I can't hear the balls shake is when I soak the cap. They look clean but clearly there is buildup. I do notice airflow improves as well.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I've found I only get the ring when I pull as hard as I can trying to clear it in a couple draws. I don't get the ring and have a perfectly even roast if I draw with about 60% force instead of full on ripping and find it more enjoyable with better flavor. I can't really tell a difference on...

    Huni Badger Pro

https://www.hunibadger.com/index.php?route=blog/article&article_id=104 Right after buying a HB off of the Zee sale I noticed they have a page up about the upcoming Huni Badger Pro... got me wondering if I should cancel that order.... What's different so far: Touch activated LED screen...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I've had way too much going on to be on here as much and missed 5-10 pages I need to read back on. That said, not sure if this has been mentioned but the VI is generally great once you dial it in, but subsequent heat cycles can vary a bit where you need to take the indicator to before stopping...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Having used mine probably 1000 times in the few months I've had it, I can say it is absolutely easy on the throat. Even high temp heats and sessions are pretty smooth until the device itself is too hot for me too hold (not common, only when I'm REALLY looking to rip multiple bowls in quick...
