I can confirm my ceroma is the same. No screen, but I've got a mix of 3 and 4mm media, not in any discernable layers, just mixed together.

Glad the flame polishing worked for you. It's an easy and reliable way to finish dremel cuts. I'm interested to know if the thermocouple on the inside makes a material difference other than giving a more accurate reading. Looking forward to your findings.

Nice one with the dremel mate! I hope you used plenty of water whilst cutting. That dust is no joke if you breath it in, and it's good for the cutting edge. If you have access to a large torch you can flame polish the cut end. Just heat it up and the roughness will start to smooth itself out...

Hmmm, you might be right about needing an external SSR, I was assuming the relay was onboard. The sticker is obscured but it doesn't look like a normal PID as it looks like it only takes 220v rather than being international. Can you link the data sheet for it?

I think it's one of two things, it's pretty hard to see from the pictures. Either it's the thermocouple not reading a temp, or it's not wired correctly. Looking at the second pic it doesn't look like anything is connected to the SSR. The SSR is the output so should have the heater connected to...
